Last updated: 30 October 2026
Alij Healthcare Platform is owned by Alij Healthcare Company, Commercial Registration No. 404050654, based in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, referred to in these Terms as the “Company” or the “Platform”.
These Terms govern use of the Platform by nonprofit organizations, healthcare and pharmaceutical providers, suppliers of medical devices and supplies, and other organizations accepted on the Platform. Each is referred to as an “Organization”, including its authorized representatives and users.
1. Acceptance and Scope
Accepting these Terms during registration or through the approval mechanism provided on the Platform constitutes acknowledgment that they have been read and agreement to comply with them. Anyone accepting these Terms on behalf of an Organization confirms that they are authorized to represent and bind it within the scope of their authority.
These Terms apply alongside the Privacy Policy and any specific agreements with the Organization. In the event of a conflict, the specific agreement prevails on the matters it governs, provided this does not conflict with applicable law or the rights of personal data subjects.
2. The Platform’s Nature and Role
Alij is a digital platform connecting nonprofit organizations with providers of healthcare services and products and funding and support partners. It organizes, documents and tracks their dealings within a unified ecosystem that promotes integration, efficiency and reliability.
The Platform does not replace any Organization’s professional, statutory or contractual responsibilities. Registration, or the listing of a service or opportunity, does not guarantee funding, orders, contracts or any particular clinical or commercial outcome.
3. Registration Eligibility and Accurate Information
The Organization must be legally established and hold the licenses and permits required for its activities. Its registration application must be submitted by a representative with legal capacity and authority under an approved authorization letter issued by the Organization.
The Organization must provide accurate and complete information and documents, keep them up to date, and disclose any material matter affecting its eligibility or ability to meet its obligations.
The Company may request documents or clarification to verify information and may accept, suspend or reject an application for reasons relating to compliance, the integrity of dealings or registration requirements. Acceptance does not replace the professional or legal checks required of the parties involved.
4. Accounts, Authorization and Permissions
The Organization is responsible for managing its account, designating authorized users and their permissions, and revoking access when a user leaves or their authority changes.
Users must keep login credentials confidential, refrain from sharing them, and use their accounts only within their assigned permissions. The Organization must notify the Company without delay of suspected unauthorized access or misuse.
Actions taken through an Organization’s accounts are attributed to its authorized users according to their permissions, subject to evidence of compromise or unlawful use and the applicable law.
Electronic records, requests, consents, approvals, notices and transactions completed through the Platform are recognized in accordance with applicable law and the requirements governing the evidential validity of electronic transactions and records.
5. Shared Obligations
Each Organization must:
- Use the Platform for lawful purposes connected with its activities.
- Comply with relevant laws, instructions, licenses and professional standards.
- Provide accurate, non-misleading information and documents.
- Honor the undertakings and obligations it approves or accepts.
- Respect beneficiaries’ rights, dignity and privacy.
- Cooperate in verifying dealings and addressing complaints and objections.
- Disclose any conflict of interest that could affect the integrity of dealings.
6. Responsibility for Each Organization’s Activities
Nonprofit organizations are responsible for decisions on eligibility assessments, case approvals and appropriate forms of support, for verifying that beneficiaries meet their approved criteria, and for ensuring the lawful use of the resources allocated for that purpose.
Providers of services and products are responsible for maintaining valid licenses, the competence of their personnel, the safety and quality of their services and products and associated delivery procedures, the accuracy of the information, prices and conditions they publish, and compliance with their professional and contractual obligations.
Medical, diagnostic and treatment decisions remain the responsibility of licensed healthcare professionals and organizations. Platform procedures do not replace any required medical, professional or statutory approvals or requirements.
7. Dealings and Approvals
Before approving a transaction, the Organization must review its terms, including the scope of obligations, payment, duration and any relevant special conditions.
Offers, consents, undertakings and approvals issued through the Platform bind those who issue them within their content, the issuer’s authority and applicable law. Obligations may not be changed or cancelled unilaterally except as permitted by the governing agreement or a legally valid ground.
The Company’s involvement in coordination, monitoring or assistance with disputes does not transfer the parties’ obligations to it unless the Company expressly undertakes a specified obligation.
8. Fees and Financial Obligations
Platform fees and any payment, support, incentive or financial obligation are determined by the contract or agreement with the Organization, which must meet its resulting obligations.
The Organization must pay amounts due within the agreed times and through the agreed methods. It is responsible for the consequences of late payment or non-payment under the contract or agreement and applicable law.
It must also ensure the accuracy of the financial information, invoices and documents it provides. An amount, invoice or financial statement appearing on the Platform does not, by itself, conclusively establish entitlement, payment or settlement unless supported by the relevant records or evidence.
Each Organization is responsible for the taxes, charges and accounting and financial requirements imposed on it by law.
9. Beneficiary Data and Confidentiality
Health data is sensitive personal data. For any data an Organization collects, uploads, uses or discloses through the Platform, it must have an appropriate legal basis for processing, provide the required notices to data subjects and obtain consent where required, including that of a guardian or legal representative where necessary.
The Organization must limit data uploaded or made available through the Platform to the minimum necessary for the lawful purpose of the transaction, and verify its accuracy and the lawfulness of disclosure to authorized parties.
The Company processes personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law, in its legal capacity for each processing activity, whether as a controller or processor, depending on the activity and the relationship between the parties.
The Organization must notify the Company without delay of any actual or suspected incident affecting the security or confidentiality of data connected with use of the Platform.
Data may be used only for authorized purposes and to the extent necessary. It must not be made available to unauthorized persons or used for personal benefit, marketing or unlawful purposes.
Users must keep non-public information obtained through the Platform confidential. These duties continue after the account or relationship ends, according to the nature of the information and the relevant laws and agreements.
10. Prohibited Use
The Platform must not be used for fraud, forgery, impersonation, unfounded claims, misuse of support resources or infringement of others’ rights.
Unauthorized access to data or accounts, exceeding permissions, compromising or disrupting Platform security, copying, extracting or exploiting its data outside authorized purposes, and uploading content that breaches the law or intellectual property rights are prohibited.
11. Intellectual Property and Trademark
“Alij” is an officially registered trademark protected under the relevant laws. All intellectual property rights associated with the Platform, including its name, logo, marks, designs and content, are reserved to their respective rights holders. Registration or use grants no ownership or right to exploit them beyond the authorized scope of use.
Neither an Organization nor its users may use the Platform’s name, logo or marks in advertising, printed materials, websites, social media accounts or any other medium without the Company’s prior written approval, and only within the purpose, duration and conditions specified in that approval.
No one may speak, issue statements or undertakings on the Platform’s behalf, represent it to others, or imply its authorization, partnership, sponsorship or endorsement without the Company’s prior written authorization. Registration, use, dealings with the Company or entering into a contract with it do not, by themselves, authorize use of the Platform’s name or marks or representation in any form, unless expressly provided and within the specified limits.
The Organization must not alter the Platform’s brand elements or use them in a misleading or harmful manner. It must stop using them when authorization expires or is withdrawn under its terms, without prejudice to existing rights and obligations.
The Organization retains rights in the content it provides and grants the Company the permission necessary to use it to operate the Platform, perform transactions and meet statutory obligations, subject to the Privacy Policy.
This permission does not authorize publication of beneficiary data or independent promotional use of organizations’ names or logos without a legal basis or appropriate consent.
12. Availability and Supporting Services
The Company exercises reasonable care to maintain and improve the Platform. Some services may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond its control.
Organizations must make appropriate arrangements to maintain their operations and protect beneficiaries’ interests during outages. Technical disruption must not result in a breach of professional duties or the standard of care owed to beneficiaries.
External supporting services, where used, are subject to their relevant terms, without relieving the Company of its statutory or contractual obligations.
13. Review, Complaints and Objections
The Company may request information and documents needed to verify compliance with these Terms and address reports or disputed dealings, subject to confidentiality and data protection requirements.
Organizations must cooperate and provide requested material within a reasonable period. The Company may take proportionate precautionary measures to protect beneficiaries, data or the integrity of dealings.
Internal complaint or objection procedures do not prevent any party from exercising its rights before the competent authorities.
14. Account Suspension and Termination
The Company may restrict, suspend or terminate an account for a breach of these Terms, expiry of required licenses, materially inaccurate information, significant risks to beneficiaries, data security or the integrity of dealings, or at the request of a competent authority.
Where possible and appropriate, the Organization will be notified and given an opportunity to remedy the breach. Immediate action may be taken where necessary.
Account termination does not extinguish prior rights, amounts due or obligations, end confidentiality or data protection duties, or prejudice beneficiaries’ rights or ongoing dealings.
15. Liability and Compensation
Each party is liable for damage arising from its breach of obligations, wrongful acts or negligence, in accordance with applicable laws and agreements.
Merely enabling dealings through the Platform does not make the Company responsible for organizations’ obligations to each other, their professional decisions or the accuracy of information they provide. The Company remains responsible for its own acts and obligations.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or reduces the rights granted to beneficiaries or personal data subjects.
16. Circumstances Beyond a Party’s Control
A party is not liable for delay or inability to perform caused directly by circumstances beyond its control that cannot reasonably be prevented or their effects avoided, to the extent and for the duration of their impact.
The affected party must give notice, cooperate and take reasonable steps to limit the effects. Existing amounts due and duties that continue by law or their nature are not extinguished.
17. Notices and Changes to These Terms
Notices are sent through the Organization’s approved contact details or Platform account. The Organization must keep its contact details current and monitor notices, subject to statutory notification requirements where applicable.
The Company may update these Terms, identifying the revised version and its effective date, giving reasonable advance notice of material changes and obtaining renewed acceptance where required.
Changes do not apply retrospectively to established rights or approved obligations unless supported by a legal basis or valid agreement.
Questions about these Terms or legal matters concerning the Platform may be sent to legal@alij.sa.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Parties will seek to resolve disputes amicably. If an amicable settlement cannot be reached, the parties to the dispute may agree in writing to arbitration under the arbitration law in force in the Kingdom. Otherwise, the competent judicial authority in the Kingdom has jurisdiction, unless a valid agreement between the parties lawfully provides another dispute resolution method.
If a provision is unenforceable or found invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent possible. Failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of that right.
19. Authoritative Language
These Terms are issued in Arabic, which is the authoritative version for interpretation.
A translation into another language may be provided for convenience. If there is a difference in meaning or interpretation, the Arabic text prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law.
